Description Our client is a provider of corrugated packaging solutions and they are looking to appoint a Business Development Manager to manage a small portfolio of accounts and create new business opportunities for their site based in the North West.

The Role
You will be responsible for managing and further developing a small portfolio of accounts; though initially your main focus will be on identifying, approaching and securing new business in the Midlands or North of England developing these accounts to their full potential. Working closely with Design, Estimating and the internal Sales department you will be well supported internally for you to be successful in your position.

* Create and implement an agreed sales strategy.
* Target and win profitable new business, in line with the agreed budgetary targets.
* Submit sales reporting in the set formats, to the agreed standards and within the set time periods.
* Adhere to all company procedures in respect of customer contracts and agreements pertaining to stock, price, origination and any other identified commercial aspects.
* Provide market analysis (including competitor activity and market trends) as required to support strategic business development.
* Acquire and maintain a thorough knowledge of the Region, its key users, and their relevant market sectors to identify and exploit profitable new business opportunities
* Project manage the introduction of new customers into the business ensuring their effective handover to the internal customer service teams

You
It is desirable that candidates have experience of selling corrugated packaging solutions having worked for either an Integrated, Sheet plant or Packaging Distribution business. It is essential that you have previous field sales experience, are commercially aware and have been successful in targeting and winning new business. We are keen to hear from people who are familiar with; and understand the various sales processes involved in finding and winning new business, which may have been gained from various types of formal sales training courses or having completed a qualification in this field. You are confident, tenacious, outgoing, have a positive attitude to managing customer expectations and winning new business, a team player whilst also being able to work on your own initiative. You must have excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.

Basic up to £45k+ (Negotiable depending on level of experience)
