• The purpose of this role is to ensure that the Production Plan is accurate, achievable and prioritised to meet short term demands, while maximising Production efficiencies / utilisation.
• The Production Planner will be responsible for the accuracy of the PSA Planning Schedule, material and cylinder availability, WIP control and ‘on time in full’ deliveries.
• The role will communicate daily with colleagues ensuring that priorities, issues and transport requirements are clear, communicated effectively ensuring the completeness of orders is reflected and any shortfalls are dealt with in the best interest of the Company.
• The accuracy of the Production Schedule
• Providing clear instructions to Production
• Ensuring raw materials are available when needed
• Communicating short term priorities / issues to the commercial manager
• Completing Production orders.
• Communication and resolution of Production order shortfalls / overmakes
• To update the Production Schedule daily, ensuring materials are available and deliveries will be met, with any issues being highlighted to the relevant areas.
• To monitor the plan attainment daily by comparing actual to estimated performance and recording the results / reasons for variance.
• To actively participate in the daily Production meeting, providing information on material availability, customer priorities or any other relevant issues.
• To ensure the daily plans are distribution to all areas.
• To ensure all material components are available to meet the plan date and time
• actual materials to be used, aligning production quantities with material quantities where possible.
• To monitor and communicate Production shortfalls / overmakes and resolve any issues in the best interest of the Company.
• To monitor the status of WIP production jobs and ensure produced items are ‘completed’ on time.

• You must show an ability to be able to follow internal procedures, understand written and verbal instructions and understand those aspects of the flexible packaging process appertaining to your job role.
• A ‘can do’ attitude is essential.
• You will be required to demonstrate a flexible attitude to your day to day duties including cover for your colleagues when they are absent or called away if you are requested to do so. In addition you may be required to assist in other departments and perform other duties that may be assigned to you from time to time.
• You must be able to effectively communicate information/issues to senior management (oral, written & electronic) and ensure that this is done in a clear and professional manner.
• To uphold and positively support Company policies in all areas of the business
• Promote and maintain good working relationships with internal colleagues / departments
