Description Our client is a provider of plain and printed labels and due to continued growth they are looking to appoint a Business Development Manager to manage a small portfolio of accounts and create new business opportunities for their site based in the Midlands.

The Role
You will be responsible for identifying, approaching and securing new business in the South of England developing these accounts to their full potential.

Working closely with the internal Sales department you will be well supported internally for you to be successful in your position

You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of existing accounts, growing these accounts business as well as managing customer expectations and orders etc. adhering to all company procedures in respect of customer contracts and agreements pertaining to stock, price, origination and any other identified commercial aspects.

The bulk of the role is to target and win profitable new business, in line with the agreed budgetary targets, sales reporting in the set formats, to the agreed standards and within the set time periods using the company CRM and to acquire and maintain a thorough knowledge of the Region, its key users, and their relevant market sectors to identify and exploit profitable new business opportunities

It is desirable that candidates have experience of selling labels, or are from a printed films or cartons background. It is essential that you have previous field sales experience, are commercially aware and have been successful in targeting and winning new business. We are keen to hear from people who are confident, tenacious, outgoing, have a positive attitude to managing customer expectations and winning new business, a team player whilst also being able to work on your own initiative. You must have excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills and be extremely well organised
