Description Working 8am – 5pm Monday to Thursday and 8am - 2pm on a Friday. We run a flexible working program as well as there being the occasional need for overtime.

We are a privately owned company, market leading manufacturer of presentation and packaging products from plastics. Specialising in Polypropylene and PET materials for a variety of market sectors education, retail, training, and household markets.

We are looking to recruit a folder gluer operator to manufacture goods that meet customer specifications within the stipulated timescales. The role is to set up the machine to the specifications required and operate in a safe manner with attention to both quality and productivity
Applicants will be required to demonstrate a good level of skill and understanding of the respective machinery preferably coupled with a good broad knowledge of Carton Manufacture.
We are ideally looking for individuals who enjoy working as part of a team, and are keen to deliver excellent customer service and take responsibility for what they do. We are keen to recruit individuals who like to innovate and improve processes and are keen to develop new skills in other machine operating sectors.

Responsibilities
• Apply all rules and procedures laid out by the Company in all aspects of the job role
• Prepare all relevant material components to operate the machine throughout the shift
• Maintain optimum speeds for the machine while at the same time ensuring customer quality standards are met
• Ensure the machine is maintained in good mechanical working order meeting all Company standards and schedules
• Responsible for ensuring that the housekeeping of machinery and the working area is maintained to the required standard
• Be responsible for both product and mechanical fault finding while operating the machine
• Communicate any issues or concerns regarding the job in hand, future scheduled jobs or the machinery itself to direct line manager.
Knowledge, Experience and Skills
• An awareness of all Company rules, procedures and practices
• A good technical knowledge of the type of equipment to be operated
• Proficient in setting this type of equipment independently
• Material knowledge is preferred but not essential and will be taught
• Knowledge of regulating standards for Health and Safety
• Awareness of Quality and Hygiene standards
